So yesterday Emily posted the most delicious pumpkin bread, as her mind was drifting towards fall. The fragrant smells of Fall comfort foods filled our houses. Today, I’m posting my favorite summertime drink, because although Fall is upon us, here in NorCal we are having a break from the rain and we enjoyed a beautiful sunny day!!!! Funny the effect the weather has on my food cravings… last week amidst the rain it was Taco Soup, Cornbread, and Pumpkin Bread, but now that I have a reprieve from the clouds, I’m making my favorite tropical beverage! I fell in love with this virgin version of a Hawaiian favorite on one of my first trips to the islands. When I’m in Hawaii, I order it with every meal and usually have one to end the day before I go to bed. I’m sure you’ll love it just as much as I do!
Guava Lava
- 6 cups ice
- 16 ounces Liquid Pina Colada Mix (you can find this in the liquor section of your grocery store)
- 1/4 cup cream of coconut (also in the liquor section)
- 1, 12 ounce can guava nectar
I have never had a drink with guava, but I bet I would enjoy it. Thanks for posting the recipe.
Yum, sounds refreshing! Thanks for sharing on Crazy Sweet Tuesday. 🙂
